Every summer, the banks of the Seine and the edges of the Bassin de la Villette are covered in sand, deckchairs and giant misting fans. A real beach in the middle of Paris, usually from mid-July to the end of August.

Deckchair or blanket on the lawn, facing a big screen set up for the evening: a Parisian summer classic at Parc de la Villette, mid-July to mid-August.

A parade on the Champs-Élysées in the morning, followed by fireworks over the Eiffel Tower after dark — visible from several vantage points across the city.

Since 2017, three lifeguard-supervised swimming areas have been set up on the Canal de l'Ourcq — free, and open every summer, usually from mid-June to early September.
